Women and Girls in Umpiring

UMPIRING IS FOR EVERYONE

The AFL is committed to creating positive and enjoyable experience for Women and Girls (cis or trans), and non-binary umpires. Across the season, there will be a range of events to connect, upskill and make umpiring an enjoyable experience for all.

UPCOMING EVENTS

UMPowered is an Umpire Coaching Conference for women (cis or trans) and non-binary umpire coaches. It aims to build the connections and networks of umpire coaches and those aspiring to take on a coaching role, while upskilling participants with technical umpire coaching strategies and tools. It's not just all content either! Attendees will get unfiltered access of what it's like to be an AFL Umpire Coach - with a matchday experience at the MCG and tour of the ARC.
