NSW Greatest Team of All Time

In 2019, AFL NSW/ACT in conjunction with the Carbine Club of New South Wales announced the New South Wales’ Greatest Team of All Time. This is the first time a team such as this has ever been officially announced and is a reflection of the contribution that New South Wales has made to Australian Football.

The team was selected from across New South Wales and includes multiple Brownlow Medalists, All-Australian team members and AFL Premiership winners, highlighting the rich contributions of New South Welshmen to Australian Football throughout the years.

NSW Australian Football Hall of Fame

Australian Rules football has been played in NSW since the early 1880s. Its more than 140 years have been full of champions, trailblazers and characters and the NSW Australian Football Hall of Fame recognises those who have given our game so much in this state.

AFL Canberra Hall of Fame

The AFL Canberra Hall of Fame was introduced in 2006 and since its inception some key figures in football in Canberra have been inducted.

The award aims to recognise players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and administrators who have made an outstanding contribution to Australian Football in Canberra.

NSW Australian Football History Society

The NSW Australian Football History Society Inc. is a non-profit organisation whose role is to research, gather, document, catalogue and arrange for the safe keeping of objects and items of significant interest to the history of Australian Football in New South Wales.

In 2019, AFL NSW/ACT and the NSW Australian Football History Society engaged in a formal partnership to progress the game so everyone can share in its heritage.
