With a decade of experience umpiring across local level, SANFL and AFLW, Emilie Hill has built strong friendships across Australia while staying fit and constantly pushing herself to improve. Her advice for anyone considering umpiring is to be curious, be brave, and most importantly, have fun—because that’s what it's all about!
Brooke Kimber has been umpiring for just a year as a boundary umpire, but her passion for the game has her excited to transition to field umpiring in 2025. She first got into umpiring after seeing a "come and try" session advertised — she showed up with her best foot forward and never looked back.
Janhavi Kondhalkar has been umpiring for seven years, finding a rewarding path that keeps her connected to the game she loves. What began as a way to stay active and earn money quickly became an opportunity for personal growth. Umpiring has strengthened her confidence, resilience, and focus, while also introducing her to lifelong friends.
