AFL Queensland Coach Mentor Program
AFL Queensland is excited to announce the launch of a Coaching Mentor Program in 2026, designed specifically for aspiring female coaches who want to enhance their coaching knowledge, gain insights from senior-level coaches, and develop the skills needed to succeed at higher levels of the game.
The program will be particularly valuable for those considering future participation in the national ‘She Can Coach’ program.
Participants will have access to a blend of:
- Formal learning – structured workshops and targeted skill development sessions
- Informal mentoring – personalised guidance, feedback, and networking opportunities
- Practical coaching experiences – hands-on involvement in real senior-level coaching environments
The program’s aim is to build confidence, expand coaching expertise, and strengthen participants’ understanding of all aspects of coaching within AFL.
