Alexandra Hills Australian Football Club is seeking expressions of interest for the Senior Assistant Coach role for the 2026 season, competing in QFA Division 2.
The Senior Assistant Coach will work closely with the Senior Coach to support the leadership and delivery of the Mens football program. Key Qualifications:

The Role
The Head Coach (Playing or Non Playing) to lead the Men’s senior program, driving on-field success, player development and alignment with the broader values and vision of the Burnie Football Club. Duties and Responsibilities

Support the performance and development of junior girls’ coaches by;

o Be familiar with and champion compliance with the Club’s mission statement, values and policies

We are looking for someone to lead our Reserves team who has a passion for progressing women’s football, can work with a coaching team in the development of players and have the ability to build relationships with strong communication and leadership skills.
Prior experience in coaching is desirable, however this is an exciting opportunity for a recently retired player to begin their coaching career. You are expected to have or will attain as a minimum the Bronze AFL Coach Accreditation before the season starts.
Requirements for applicants:
• Demonstrated development, understanding and communication of game plan/style.
• Strong communication skills both on and off field.
• Ability to contribute to positive player engagement and management, including fair and transparent team selection processes
• Support player development and education by providing feedback, mentoring, and technical skill coaching
• Strong relationship building skills
• Demonstrated understanding of the ethos of amateur football.
Commitment required for the role:
• Assist the coordination of pre-season training (Monday and Wednesday nights) from mid-November to late March.
• In season commitments will commence in April with Tuesday and Thursday night training and game day on Saturday.
• Additional coaches and ad hoc club meetings.

The Role
The Assistant Coach will work with the Senior Coach to lead and direct the Mens football program in conjunction
with the Clubs Coaching Director, General Manager and wider Committee. After underperforming for several
seasons, the Club is ready to bounce back strongly and requires a capable and motivated individual to support
the Senior Coach to drive this improvement and create sustainable success. The successful candidate will work
alongside our club staff, committee and playing group to ensure the highest standards are driven across the
