Women and Girls Grants and Oppotunities

Supporting every opportunity for Women and Girls to get involved in our great game.

2024 Chemist Warehouse AFLW Community Ambassador Program

Established in 2021, the AFLW Community Ambassador program recognises members from the football community who have been instrumental in facilitating and nurturing the remarkable growth of women and girls’ football.

The program calls on the football community from around the country to nominate someone from their club who has made a change and played a significant role in the growth and success of women and girls footy. It could be a volunteer, coach, administrator, player, umpire – anyone making a difference or having an impact.

Each Chemist Warehouse AFLW Community Ambassador receives a $1,000 grant from the Women’s Football Fund to donate to the club of their choice and the opportunity to be involved in the 2024 NAB AFLW Finals Series.

You can read more about the 2023 Ambassadors here.

The 2024 nominations are now open. View the 2024 nomination terms and conditions here and nominate someone at your club below.

The program has been established to support the growth of women and girls in community football by creating safe and inclusive environments, increasing participation for women and girls (on and off the field), and increasing participation opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and girls, and women and girls from culturally diverse communities.

Details of any future grant rounds will be posted here, please check back. Recipients of the inaugural women and girls grants were announced here, or see below.
