The Long Walk 2025 - Brisbane Lions & AFL

Event Overview
in-person

The Brisbane Lions in partnership with The Long Walk Foundation, Deadly Choices and AFL Queensland annually hosts the Long Walk in Brisbane, the largest held by an AFL club outside of Melboune.

The Long Walk is inspired by former Essendon player Michael Long’s walk to Canberra in 2004 to get the lives of Indigenous people back on the national agenda.

From 10:30am a range of activities at Flowstate will be on offer, including:

- Games and face painting
- Indigenous craft workshops
- Live performance from Tito Ghee
- Lions merchandise and giveaways.

The walk from Flowstate to The Gabba will start at 1:15pm.

The walk is free to attend but you must have a valid game ticket to walk the final section in the stadium. Purchase your ticket here.
