The recent Women’s Statewide All-Stars Series brought the state’s top footballers together, and now the best of the best have been recognised with the announcement of the Team of the Series.
The North West Football League returned to the summit in 2024, claiming their third title in four years with a pair of thrilling wins, and they have been rewarded with eight selections in the Team of the Series. The Northern Tasmanian Football Association finished as runners-up for the second straight year and had seven players recognised, with six selections from the Southern Football League.
NWFL skipper Olivia Smith has been named captain after leading her side to the title, with series MVP Brieanna Barwick selected as vice-captain for a second time following her recognition in 2021.
Smith is one of three players to earn her third Team of the Series nod, alongside NWFL teammate Shania Saward and the NTFA’s Georgia Hill, while seven players were selected for the first time.
