AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) is pleased to unveil the 2025 TIO Central Australian Football League (CAFL) fixture, set to deliver an action-packed season featuring marquee matchups, key scheduling enhancements, and a strong focus on growing the game across the region.
The town competition officially kicks off on Wednesday, 23 April 2025 with a blockbuster Round 1 at TIO Traeger Park, headlined by two highly anticipated Grand Final rematches – Pioneer vs Federal in the Senior Men's competition and Rovers vs West in the Senior Women's competition on Saturday 26 April 2025. Fans can expect a fierce contest as reigning premiers look to defend their titles against determined challengers out for redemption.
Further refinements to the fixture include the return of full King's Birthday and Picnic Weekend byes, alongside a refreshed match schedule aimed at delivering more consistent and family-friendly game times.
The CAFL Community Competition will commence on 13 April, with matches taking place at TIO Traeger Park and Albrecht Oval. The opening round will see a Grand Final rematch between Papunya and Ntaria, setting the stage for another thrilling season.
AFLNT is also pleased to confirm that TIO has re-signed as the competition’s naming rights partner, continuing its strong support of footy in the Territory. Head of AFL Northern Territory, Sam Gibson acknowledged the significance of the renewed partnership “TIO has been a long-time supporter of football in the NT, and we are thrilled to have them continue as our CAFL naming rights partner.

Adding to the excitement, an expanded Women's Pre-Season Tournament kicks off this Friday 11 April and Saturday 12 April 2025. The tournament will feature a series of high-intensity games, allowing clubs to fine-tune their squads ahead of the season. With growing interest and participation, the competition is expected to highlight emerging talent and set a strong platform for the women's competition in 2025.
