AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) and the TIO Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) is pleased to unveil the 2025/26 TIO NTFL Premier League fixture, promising another season of thrilling Top End football. 

 

As released last week, the action begins on Thursday, 2 October 2025, when Nightcliff take on the Tiwi Bombers under lights at TIO Stadium. Round 1 will stretch across four days as part of TIO Round, highlighted by a the 2024/25 TIO NTFL Men’s Premier League grand final rematch between Southern Districts and St Mary’s, and capped off with a Super Sunday triple-header. 

 

From there, the season builds across 18 rounds of men’s and women’s football, leading into a four-week finals series in March 2026. The competition will culminate in the TIO NTFL Premier League Grand Final on Saturday, 14 March 2026 at TIO Stadium. 

 

Fans can look forward to a host of key matchups and themed rounds: 

  • Round 3: 2024/25 Men’s Premier League Reserves Grand Final rematch between PINT and Banks.  

  • Round 5: Umpires Round 

  • Round 7: 2024/25 TIO NTFL Women’s Premier League Grand Final rematch between St Mary’s and Nightcliff. 

  • Round 11: No More Round 

  • Round 17: Road Safety Round 

 

This year’s fixture also includes an increase mix of Friday night football at multiple venues and Sunday afternoon clashes, as well as the traditional six home games per club for those with home grounds.

“Balancing tradition, community needs and competition requirements is always a big task, and we’re confident the fixture will provide a great experience for players, clubs, and fans across the Territory.” 

 

Memberships for the 2025/26 TIO NTFL season will be on sale shortly, including the TIO Stadium Pass and the Premium Access Pass, giving fans flexibility to enjoy Territory football their way.

Fixtures for senior and junior competitions will be released in mid-September following club consultation.
