As part of the 2025/26 TIO NTFL season, AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) will implement independent compliance audits for both Men’s Premier League Grand Finalists.
In addition to existing compliance requirements that go across the competition, the audits will review each club’s adherence to NTFL By-Laws throughout the season, with a particular focus on player contract declarations and overall governance standards.
This initiative represents a significant step in strengthening competition integrity and ensuring fairness across the league. The findings will also help inform future decisions around competitive balance, including considerations such as salary caps and football program spending caps.
