The Northern Territory Football League (NTFL) advises that the appeal submitted by the Nightcliff Football Club regarding sanctions imposed for a breach of NTFL By-Law 3.13 was heard today, Sunday, 16 February 2025.
Following the appeal hearing, the NTFL Appeals Board has upheld the appeal lodged by the Nightcliff Football Club. As a result, the previously imposed sanctions, including the forfeiture of premiership points, fines, and suspensions, have been overturned.
The NTFL remains committed to upholding the integrity of the competition and ensuring that all clubs adhere to established by-laws. As part of our standard procedures, a comprehensive review of competition by-laws will be conducted in the off-season to ensure clarity, consistency in competition governance and seek to ensure subjective components of the by-laws don’t remain.
With Week One of the TIO NTFL Premier League Finals Series set to commence on Friday, 21 February 2025, the NTFL will release the full fixture and match-up details tomorrow, Monday, 17 February 2025.
