The 2025 Marsh AFL National Academy Girls squad will represent Australia for the second time this year when they take a national All Stars team in Melbourne this weekend.
The Academy squad will take part in their third and final camp of the 2025 campaign this week, with the highlight of the three-day program the clash against the All Stars at Mission Whitten Oval from 11:00am on Sunday, June 8.
It will be the second showcase match between the two sides this year, following a clash at RSEA Park in April.
The Marsh AFL National Academy features a host of the most talented young footballers from across Australia, who are taking part in the program during their Draft year.
The National Academy is a holistic football and personal development program, providing the next generation of stars with valuable experiences, insights and opportunities to best prepare them for the next steps in their football journey.
With several Academy members unable to take part in Sunday’s game due to injury, Dandenong Stingrays forward Nalu Brothwell has been added to the squad for this weekend’s camp.
Brothwell will line up in the Australia U18 team alongside twin sister Mizuki, who is an existing member of the Marsh AFL National Academy Girls squad.
Ava Usher, Dekota Baron, Alira Fotu, Jade McLay and Evie Cowcher will still take part in this weekend’s camp despite being sidelined from the Australia U18 team for Sunday’s match with injury.
The All Stars team to take on the National Academy is a new-look line-up from the side that played in the showcase match in April.
The All Stars squad for Sunday’s game features players born in 2007 who are in their Draft year, many of whom featured in the Marsh AFL National Futures match last September.
The Marsh AFL National Academy Girls squad will arrive in Melbourne from Thursday for the third camp of the 2025 program.
The squad will take part in a range of high-performance, wellbeing, education and team bonding sessions throughout the three-day camp.
They will train at IKON Park on Friday and at Harry Trott Oval on Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s match. The All Stars will also train at Harry Trot Oval on Saturday.
