Pomona Demons Football Club are set to enter the QFA Division 3 Sunshine Coast competition for 2026.
The Demons will join Friday night football in South East Queensland after playing in the Wide Bay Senior Men’s competition in 2025.
“Pomona moving into QFA Division 3 competition will be great for Australian rules football on the Sunshine Coast,” Competitions Lead - QFA & QFAW Travis Bell said.
“We want senior football clubs to be able to find their level, and the move to Friday night football should be a positive one for the club as well.”
Pomona Demons Club President, Aaron Davis, is eager to see how this move plays out for the club next year.
“The Pomona Football Club is extremely excited for the move to the QFA Division 3 Sunshine Coast competition," he said.
"After two years of building our seniors program in the Wide Bay, our playing group and infrastructure are now ready to join the competition.
“We have a proud history that dates back to the 1970s playing in the Sunshine Coast competition, so it only makes sense the Demons are back in the new-look competition.
“We are looking forward to what's shaping up to being a great 2026! Go Demons!"
