The third round of the 2025/26 TIO NTFL season will begin with midday clash on Saturday between PINT and the Tiwi Bombers.
The Queenants stormed to a 91-point win last weekend and remain undefeated to start their 2025/26 campaign. They boast an array of in-form talent, with Tayla Hill, Jasmyn Hewett and Brooklyn Kraft all in excellent touch, while star forward Steph Lawrence has kicked seven goals from her opening two matches.
The Tiwi Bombers are yet to register a win but continue to show glimpses of promise. They were narrowly beaten last round, with Sarah Darcy a standout, collecting 27 disposals and using the ball with real class.
Expect the Bombers to bring their trademark energy, but PINT will enter as solid favourites.
This clash between Waratah and Palmerston under lights at Gardens Oval shapes as arguably the match of the round, with both sides looking to build early-season momentum.
Waratah opened their account with an upset win over the Tiwi Bombers and will be chasing back-to-back victories. Ex-AFLW recruit Steph Williams was outstanding last week, finishing with 17 disposals and three goals in a best-on-ground display.
Palmerston, meanwhile, will be desperate to respond after a loss to the Darwin Buffettes on home soil. The Magpies will need to find more consistency across four quarters to get the job done against the Warriors.
St Marys will face off against Wanderers on Saturday afternoon at TIO Stadium.
The reigning premiers will enter this contest as heavy favourites after a strong Round 1 win over Southern Districts.
St Marys were clinical in that performance, led by the brilliant Isabella Shannon who had 30-plus disposals and kicked three goals in a clear best afield display. Lexie Cagney, Zoe Larkins and Shavayah Lee were others who impressed in strong supporting roles.
Wanderers have shown improvement compared to previous seasons, but facing a Saints outfit loaded with class and cohesion presents a massive challenge.
Darwin have begun their campaign in fine style, winning both of their opening matches to sit firmly among the early pacesetters.
The Buffettes were pushed by Palmerston last weekend but steadied thanks to key contributions from Roxy Beuzeville, Molly Althouse and Kiara Henry.
Southern Districts have endured a tough start to the year, facing both of last season’s grand finalists in their first two rounds. But despite back-to-back losses, there are positives – with Eva Harris, Nayely Borg and Taelah Smith among their better players in last week’s 35-point defeat to Nightcliff.
Expect the Crocs to bring effort and intensity as they chase their first win.
