AFL fans across the Northern Territory can look forward to another exciting season of footy in 2025, with three high-profile matches coming to Darwin and Alice Springs.
The Gold Coast SUNS and Melbourne Football Club will again bring their star players to the Top End and Red Centre for thrilling matches, showcasing the best of AFL action.
Ticket Sales Timeline

- This match will be part of the official opening of Sir Doug Nicholls Round, celebrating the contributions of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander players to the AFL.
- Gold Coast SUNS members with a Territory SUNS membership have guaranteed tickets to the match.
Round 12: Melbourne Demons vs St Kilda
- Date: Sunday, 1 June 2025 at 2:50pm

- Melbourne members have access to tickets, to determine your access entitlements head to the Melbourne Football Club membership website.
To make the most of the occasion, BASSINTHEGRASS, the Territory’s biggest music festival, will take place on Saturday, 17 May 2025, at Mindil Beach in Darwin, just two days after the second SUNS game. This provides the perfect opportunity for footy fans to enjoy a week of world-class football and live music, making it an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors. The 2025 season marks the second year of a three-year agreement, ensuring two Gold Coast SUNS games in Darwin each year until 2026, and the Melbourne Football Club’s annual match in Alice Springs.
