In the QFA Division 2 North Alpha Sport Premiership competition, 2026 will showcase twelve clubs with the Moorooka Roosters Australian Football Club rejoining the competition having last appeared in the division in 2022.
With Round One kicking off on Saturday April 11, the season will be highlighted by a number of rounds including ANZAC Day, Sir Doug Nicholls Round, and Pride Round.
The 16 round season will culminate in a four-week finals series with the Grand Final set for Saturday September 5.
AFL Queensland Competition Manager for QFA and QFAW North Liam Blakeley said he is looking forward another stellar season in 2026.
“After a strong 2025 season, we look forward to the continued growth of the competition in 2026,” said Blakeley.
“We are excited to welcome Moorooka back to the Division 2 North Competition and the competitiveness that all twelve clubs will bring throughout the season.
“We would like to thank Alpha Sport for their continued support as the naming rights partner of the QFA Division 2 North Competition.”
For the QFA Division 2 South competition, 2026 will feature eight clubs, with Pacific Pines Australian Football Club joining the competition this year following a dominant Grand Final win in QFA Division 3 Gold Coast in 2025.
The season will commence on Saturday April 18 with the 16 round season culminating in a finals series and the Grand Final set for September 13.
2025 Grand Finalists, Bond University and Coolangatta, will match up against each other for the first time in 2026 in Round Six on Saturday 23 May.
