Aspley midfielder Ella Smith has etched her name into the Bond University QAFLW record books, producing a historic performance against Maroochydore in Round 16 on Saturday.
Smith amassed a remarkable 47 disposals at Automall Aspley Oval, breaking the previous competition record of 42 disposals set by Southport's Steph O'Brien in Round 3, 2023.
The prolific on-baller also set a new benchmark for effective disposals, recording 39 for the match to surpass the previous record of 32, set by former Aspley player Jesse McMillan last year.
The dual record-breaking display highlighted Smith's influence throughout the contest, with the Aspley midfielder consistently finding the football and using it with precision. Her 47 touches and 39 effective disposals now stand as the highest individual tallies recorded in the Bond University QAFLW.
The performance comes as Aspley continues its push towards the 2026 Bond University QAFLW finals series, with Smith's record-setting outing reinforcing her status as one of the competition's premier midfielders.
