AFL Victoria congratulates the sixty players who were selected in the 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft last night, including 25 from Victorian community football clubs.
Richmond selected Olivia Wolmarans with the No. 1 pick, with the key forward becoming the first Western Australian to be selected with the first selection of the AFLW Draft.
Eltham Junior Football Club product Scarlett Johnson was the first Victorian to be selected at Pick No. 2, following a strong Talent League season with the Northern Knights.
Chloe Bown (Kew Comets / Oakleigh Chargers) and Maggie Johnstone (South Warrnambool / GWV Rebels) were the only other Victorians in the Top 10 selections, named with Pick No. 5 and Pick No. 10 respectively.
Balnarring Junior Football Club was well represented, with twins Mizuki and Nalu Brothwell being selected with Pick No. 14 (Western Bulldogs) and No. 50 (Essendon), alongside teammate Matilda Argus.
Former No. 1 selection Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner also found a new home at North Melbourne, after growing up playing for Spotswood.
