Allira Gattellaro and her brother Raff at half-time Auskick on the MCG during the 2025 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

AFL Victoria congratulates Allira Gattellaro, from the Aintree Auskick Centre in Melbourne's west who has been crowned the 2025 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year.

Allira was the fifth recruit announced by NAB during the Round 9 match between Melbourne and Hawthorn. She will receive $5,000 thanks to NAB to go towards her personal goals off the footy field.

Allira was surprised at the MCG by Team NAB AFL Auskick coaches Nick Daicos and Katie Brennan ahead of her first official duty at the 2025 Brownlow Medal count.

After her MCG surprise, Allira got to attend the Brownlow red carpet alongside last year's Auskicker of the Year, Alex Kouts.

Then it was off to be part of the Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade, alongside her chosen teammate, her brother Raff. Allira and Raff got to ride in the Parade cars, before taking to the stage with the two grand final sides and the 2025 AFL Premiership Cup.

After the excitement of Parade Day, it was time for the big moment, getting to run out on the MCG on Grand Final day.

Allira and Raff had an absolute blast during half-time Auskick, and then got changed into the winning team's colours to present the Brisbane Lions with their 2025 premiership medals.

Allira got to present Brisbane's co-captain Harris Andrews with his medal, a truly special experience.

About Allira

Allira has been playing Auskick for three years and loves the opportunity to play at half time at the MCG and Marvel Stadium like her AFL heroes, especially her favourite player Marcus Bontempelli.

Allira is also the only girl in her U10 football team at the Aintree Giants, and she was awarded ‘Player of the Week’ in her first game this season. She was so keen to practise her football skills in the off-season, that she made her own handball and kicking targets at home to practise every day after school, which has clearly paid off!

When she isn’t playing footy, she loves to sing, as well as playing with her many pets at home. Allira and her family have two dogs, two horses and two bearded dragons!

Allira chose her younger brother Raff as her teammate because he loves football as much as her. He has played Auskick for four years and won his club’s Auskicker of the Year two years in a row. Raff loves Auskick so much that he has also signed up to play his first year of football in the U8 team at the Aintree Giants.
