Country football and netball clubs across Victoria are set to receive a major boost from the Victorian Government, with seven new projects successful in securing funding of more than $1.45 million through the latest round of the Country Football Netball Program.

Developed in partnership with the AFL, AFL Victoria and Netball Victoria, the Country Football Netball program has invested more than $44 million and delivered more than 600 projects since 2005, helping improve facilities for football clubs and communities in rural, regional and outer metropolitan Victoria.

Laharum Recreation Reserve, home of the Laharum Demons Football Netball Club will benefit from a $250,000 grant to upgrade their oval lighting to competition-standard 100 lux LED, whilst Terang Recreation Reserve, home of the Terang Mortlake Bloods will benefit from a $100,000 installation of a fully automatic irrigation system.
