The 10-day countdown is on until AFL Canberra’s Premier Division descends on Batemans Bay to open the season with its inaugural Huddle Round.
From March 28 – 29, all First Grade Men’s and Women’s matches will be played at Hanging Rock Sports Complex’s Monarch Park in what promises to be a marquee showcase of the competition’s best talent in one location.
AFL Canberra’s Huddle Round will open the season across Men’s and Women’s First Grade competitions, with three men’s and three women’s games to be played across the two-day festival showcase, complete with hospitality and music acts.
Huddle Round coincides with the Batemans Bay Seahawks’ long-awaited home debut, with the season-opening fixtures to be played in Batemans Bay as the club enters AFL Canberra’s Premier Division this season.
On debut, the Seahawks will become the seventh club in the competition, with their admission also coinciding with the club’s historic 50th anniversary.
Huddle Round will be staged at the Seahawks’ home ground at Hanging Rock Sports Complex, which the Albanese Government pledged $3M towards the construction of a new stand-alone clubhouse facility for the club.
The proposed facility will cater to all genders as the Seahawks’ Women’s program continues to advance since it was established in 2019.
AFL Canberra’s Huddle Round will be played from March 28 – 29, 2026. For more information about the event and AFL Canberra, visit here.
