AFL Canberra Strategic Plan
AFL Canberra has collaboratively developed the 2026 to 2032 strategic plan with key stakeholders and club development. It is a plan for everyone across our football community.
The plan is designed to create and sustain a thriving, connected AFL community across Canberra and surrounding regions. It reflects the diversity of our football landscape, showcases every level of the game, and focuses on developing, retaining, and attracting players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and administrators.
The plan is driven by a vision of strong junior, community, and premier football pathways. It prioritises innovation and new ways for people to connect with and engage in the game, while strengthening development pathways for volunteers, coaches, umpires, administrative staff and committee members.
The plan also places a strong emphasis on governance, as well as delivering safe, inclusive environments and fit-for-purpose facilities that support long-term growth and sustainability of football in our region.
