AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) is thrilled to announce the Men’s Senior All Stars team for the 2026 NTFL All Star Saturday, set to take place at TIO Stadium on Saturday, 24 January 2026. The NTFL Heat and Spears teams will meet in a showcase of elite Northern Territory football, following the Women’s Senior All Stars game earlier in the afternoon.
The NTFL Heat squad will be captained by Willie Rioli, a decorated talent with AFL experience at West Coast Eagles and Port Adelaide, a 2018 Premiership player, and multiple-time Chaney Medallist. Heat Head Coach Ryan Ayres said the team represents NTFL football.
“We’re proud to announce our Senior Men’s All Stars team,” Ayres said.
“This team features some of the NTFL’s most talented and dedicated players, all ready to bring their best to the field. I’m looking forward to seeing them represent not only themselves but their families with intensity and pride this weekend at TIO Stadium.”
The NTFL Spears will be captained by Cody Szust, a SANFL and VFL veteran originally from South Australia, and guided by Head Coach Leigh Crossman. Szust said the All-Stars game is a chance to celebrate the Territory’s unique mix of local and interstate talent.
“The All Stars game is a great opportunity to showcase the depth of talent we have in the Territory, as well as the quality of players who’ve relocated to Darwin from around Australia,” Szust said.
“There’s a strong mix of players who have come here and really embraced the football community, which is what makes this weekend so special. Bringing everyone together has been great and the group is really excited to represent the Spears.”
Crossman added: “Bringing this group together has been great, with a lot of respect among the players and genuine excitement about representing the Spears as part of the All Star weekend. We're looking forward to the contest and putting on a strong performance for the NT football community.”
NTFL All Star Saturday continues to be the premier representative event on the Territory football calendar, with live and free coverage on 7plus, enabling supporters across the NT and beyond to tune in and witness the showcase.
