With all QAFL and Bond University QAFLW clubs back into pre-season training, signing announcements have continued to ramp up with a number of new recruits hitting the track.

Aspley’s QAFLW squad has had a boost, with the signing of North Mackay’s Lyneeka Hollows and Sherwood’s Emma MacDonald.

Hollows, a strong midfielder with scoring capabilities will add plenty of experience to the Hornets lineup, with over 130 senior games including some time with Yeronga in the Bond University QAFLW in 2020 and 2021.

MacDonald makes the move to QAFLW level after a number of seasons as one of the best Rucks across the QFAW Division 1 competition. The 20 year old has represented South Queensland in 2023 and 2024, and was named Best on Ground in Sherwood’s QFAW Division 1 Premiership this season.

Broadbeach have continued their strong off-season recruitment drive, announcing two more key signings. Aiden Hare joins the Cats from the Peel Thunder in the WAFL and Matt North from will join the Cats from QAFL rivals Palm Beach Currumbin.

Hare made the move west in 2023 after dominating for Maryborough in the Bendigo Football Netball League and will fit straight into the Cats midfield.

North came to the QAFL in 2024 from the MPNFL, and played 17 senior games for the Lions.

Coorparoo have announced that Damian Martin will join the Kings in 2025, making the move from Morningside’s QAFL program. Martin will add depth to an already strong Kings midfield as they continue to build towards their entry into the QAFL.

Morningside have announced former West Perth player Tristan Hobley will join the Panthers in 2025, bolstering the midfield stocks of the defending premiers. Hobley has over 140 WAFL matches, and was a member of the 2022 WAFL premiership squad at West Perth.

The Panthers have also announced the alignment of Brisbane Lions VFL listed Harry Arnold. The Eastern Swans junior is no stranger to the QAFL, having played 35 matches for Broadbeach before being drafted to the Sydney Swans in the mid-season Rookie Draft in 2023.

Moreton Bay continue their QAFLW list build, with the signing of Maroochydore midfielder Anneka Williamsand Clare Salvesani from the Ipswich Eagles.

Williams, an Ipswich Cats junior, has played 25 games at QAFLW level over the past two seasons after making the jump from QFAW Division 2 where she was club Best and Fairest at Pine Rivers.

Salvensani adds to the Lions’ Ruck Stocks, after playing 43 games at QFAW Division 2 level, the former basketballer is looking to make an impact at QAFLW level.
