The AFL has today confirmed a list of 64 players invited to attend the 2025 Telstra AFL Draft Combine, headlined by Northern Territory young gun Taj Murray.
Murray, a standout for the NT Academy and Nightcliff Football Club, continues his rapid rise after impressing in the Coates Talent League earlier this year, where he earned selection in the Allies Squad. His invitation marks another major step in his journey towards the AFL, with recruiters set to closely monitor his blend of speed, skill and game sense across the three-day program.
The national Draft Combine will be staged in Melbourne from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5, featuring representatives from every state and territory and all 23 members of the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships U18 Boys All Australian Team.
Club interviews will be held at the MCG on Friday and Saturday, ahead of physical testing at the State Netball & Hockey Centre on Sunday. Selection to attend was based on nominations from AFL clubs.
In addition to the 64 national invitees, a preliminary list of 32 players have been selected for one of the three Telstra AFL State Draft Combines in October. These will take place in Melbourne (October 5), Adelaide (October 11) and Perth (October 12), with the invite list to be expanded following further consultation with AFL clubs. A finalised list of State Combine participants will be confirmed in August.
The 2025 Telstra AFL Draft Combine list includes emerging talent from across the country, from powerhouse academies to grassroots clubs.
