AFL fans across the Northern Territory will soon have the chance to secure their spot for the 2026 Toyota AFL Premiership matches in Darwin and Alice Springs, with tickets going on sale from Tuesday 16 December 2025.
Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster through a staged on-sale process. Home club members will receive first access from 12:00pm ACST, followed by away club members and TIO NTFL members from 1:00pm ACST, with the latter eligible for Darwin matches only.
The general public will be able to purchase tickets from 2:00pm ACST. AFL club members are encouraged to check their individual membership entitlements with their club prior to purchasing, as access may vary. Accessible seating information can be found through Ticketmaster’s accessibility services.
The 2026 Northern Territory fixtures feature three high-quality premiership clashes. Darwin will host two matches at TIO Stadium, beginning with Gold Coast SUNS taking on St Kilda in Round 9 on Saturday 9 May, followed by the SUNS facing Port Adelaide in Round 10 on Friday 15 May. Alice Springs will again welcome AFL action in Round 12, with Melbourne Demons playing GWS Giants on Sunday 31 May at TIO Traeger Park.
A range of ticketing options will be available to suit all fans. Reserved seating prices start at $45 for adults, $30 for concession holders and $20 for juniors aged 4 to 14, with family passes available for $90. Children under four years of age can attend free when seated on a parent’s lap, with a junior ticket required if they require their own seat.
General admission tickets are priced at $25 for adults, $15 for concessions and $10 for juniors, with family passes available at $15 per person.
Fans and businesses interested in premium match-day corporate box experiences can register their interest by completing the Expression of Interest form.
Minister for Major Events, Marie-Clare Boothby, said the return of AFL premiership football to the Territory was a major win for local fans and visitors alike.
“We love our footy here in the Territory, so it's fantastic to see three major premiership matches returning home, with the support of the Finocchiaro CLP Government,” Minister Boothby said.
She encouraged travelling fans to make the most of their time in the Territory, highlighting the opportunity to combine football with live music and outdoor experiences.
“If you’re travelling for the games, make the most of all the Territory has to offer. Watch the Suns in May, stay for BASSINTHEGRASS – the Territory’s largest music festival – and explore our world-class national parks. Footy, music, the great outdoors – what’s not to love?”
AFL Northern Territory Head Sam Gibson said the matches continue to play an important role in showcasing the Territory’s passion for the game.
“Footy is at the heart of the Northern Territory community, and we’re excited to bring three premiership matches to Darwin and Alice Springs in 2026,” Gibson said. “From the elite-level footy on the field to the community events off it, this is the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors alike to enjoy the Territory’s game at its highest level.
“Through significant broadcast and attendance exposure, these matches show the nation what football really means to Territorians and are always a highlight on the calendar.”
Gold Coast SUNS player and Territorian Ben Long said playing in Darwin remains a special moment for players with Territory ties.
“These games in Darwin mean a lot to us boys from the Territory and it’s always a week we really look forward to when the fixture comes out,” Long said.
“Not only is it a really special week, but we love playing at TIO Stadium. Our record there is great, and hopefully we can keep that going in 2026. The support we get in Darwin is always great and we’d love to see plenty of red in the stands again.”
