The women’s teams for the 2026 NTFL All Star Saturday have been confirmed, with the NTFL Heat Senior Women set to take on the NTFL Spears Senior Women tomorrow at TIO Stadium.
NTFL Heat Senior Women's coach Shannon Millar said the announcement marked a proud moment for the program on the eve of the representative showcase.
“We’ve selected a group of talented, hardworking players who truly represent the best of Top End footy. I’m excited to see them bring their skill, spirit, and teamwork to the field this weekend.
The All Star Women’s match will begin at 4:00pm, showcasing the depth of elite female football talent across the Northern Territory, alongside players who have relocated from interstate and embedded themselves in the NT football community.
With experienced leaders, AFLW and VFLW talent, and emerging Territory stars named across both sides, the fixture shapes as a high-quality representative contest and a highlight of the All Star Saturday program.
Captained by Janet Baird, with Reni Hicks named vice-captain, the Heat side features a strong blend of NT-developed talent and experienced campaigners across multiple leagues.
The Spears will be co-captained by Maddi Shaw and Gabby Deller, with the squad drawing on talent from across the NTFL clubs and interstate pathways.
Spears coach Erica Rowe said the All Star environment had quickly brought the group together.
“The All Stars game is a fantastic opportunity to showcase women's football in the NT, and it's been great bringing players together from different clubs to celebrate the season and what the league has to offer,” Rowe said.
“What stood out the most is the buy-in and energy the group has brought, with players connecting really well and embracing the All Stars experience.”
