Bunnings and the AFLW have teamed up to launch Bunnings Afters, post-game gigs set to showcase emerging artists and elevate the game day experience with live music and community fundraising.
Rolling out in Adelaide and Sydney, Bunnings Afters keeps the celebrations going after the final siren with a pop-up stage spotlighting local talent, iconic Bunnings sausage sizzles, family-friendly fun, and exclusive merch all on offer for AFLW attendees across two key rounds.
The series kicks off in Adelaide on Saturday, 11 October when Adelaide takes on West Coast at Norwood Oval during Round 9 - local South Australian singer-songwriter aleksiah will be joined by soulful, groove-driven The Sundials to entertain fans.
Sydney will take on West Coast during Round 11 at Henson Park in Sydney on Saturday, 25 October with the irresistible indie-pop hooks of Ixaras, supported by the raw talent of multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter MYMA, closing out the action as part of Bunnings Afters.
Set to champion AFLW and grassroots talent, both Bunnings Afters shows will raise vital funds for Headspace, with proceeds from the sausage sizzle and merchandise donated to the charity.
Bunnings Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Melissa O’Neill said the partnership is a celebration of Australian music, sport and community spirit.
“Bunnings Afters will transform AFLW games into ultimate post-match parties, uniting fans through live local music and this iconic Aussie game,” O’Neill said.
“As women’s footy continues to surge, we’re proud to help grow AFLW crowds while shining a spotlight on emerging artists and grassroots talent,” she added.
