The AFL is pleased to announce that Mark Brown has been appointed as the AFL Talent Lead for NSW/ACT.

Brown has spent the past seven years as the Regional Coaching Director and Head Coach for the Murray Bushrangers in the Coates Talent League and has worked in both the boys’ and girls’ programs. 

He also had an extensive playing history that included two years on the Sydney Swans' AFL list, as well as playing stints in Canberra, the VFL and country football.

In addition to his football experience, Brown has also worked professionally as a journalist and a small business operator.

Brown is very passionate about making a difference in the Talent pathways in NSW/ACT. He has a proven track record with the Murray Bushrangers, where he built a reputation as a strong developer of both girls’ and boys’ footballers in the Talent pathways.

He has continually displayed that he has an aptitude in finding and developing talent and has demonstrated an ability to step up when there are problems to solve and actions that need to be taken for the betterment of our game.

Mark will start full time in the role at the end of the Murray Bushrangers season.
