AFL participants across Greater Sydney will be granted an exclusive opportunity to access free tickets to the AAMI Community Series clash between the Sydney Swans and GWS GIANTS at Henson Park next week.
Considered the home of AFLW in Sydney, Henson Park will now welcome back AFL to the iconic Inner West venue when it hosts the cross-town pre-season classic on Thursday, February 26.
Club members, AFL members and kids aged 14 and under will have free general admission access to the match-up, thanks to the partnership with AAMI – and this year, registered AFL participants across Greater Sydney will also have the opportunity to access free tickets.
Participants across Greater Sydney who register with their local club ahead of the upcoming community AFL season will receive access to four free tickets to the Henson Park match.
To access their four free tickets, participants must register with their local club.
Once registered, a special link to redeem up to four tickets will then be emailed to the participant directly.
Tickets are subject to availability and available exclusively to registered 2026 participants.
The exclusive ticket offer for registered participants to the AAMI Community Series match at Henson Park coincides with the second year of the AFL’s Play Your Way voucher initiative in Greater Sydney.
Play Your Way vouchers are available to redeem now ahead of the 2026 community football season and are designed to support Sydney families and ease the cost of AFL registration fees.
In 2026, the Play Your Way vouchers will once again grant Western Sydney families $100 off registration fees for children participating in NAB AFL Auskick, NAB AFL Superkick and junior community footy (under 13s and younger), with families located in the Canterbury Bankstown and Ryde LGAs now able to access the $100 voucher as well.
Families Sydney-wide can redeem $50 off registration fees for all new and returning children to the NAB AFL Auskick and NAB AFL Superkick programs, or for children transitioning from NAB AFL Auskick or NAB AFL Superkick to play junior community footy.
The $50 voucher will also be redeemable for families Sydney-wide with children transitioning to play junior community footy from an AFL Connect program running in schools like school competitions or after-school NAB AFL Auskick.
The initiative is part of a $1.5M investment by the AFL into the Greater Sydney region as the league endeavours to reduce the barrier to play footy and join a local club.
Members of the Sydney Swans, GIANTS and AFL can scan their 2026 membership at the AAMI Community Series match at Henson Park for free general admission access, subject to capacity.
Alternatively, club members and AFL members can guarantee entry by registering for a general admission ticket or upgrading to a reserved seat via the relevant ticket agent using their 2026 membership barcode.
General admission for non-members is $20 for adults, while reserved seating will be $30 for adults and $10 for kids at venues with applicable seating options.
While general admission access for kids 14 and under is free, they must redeem a ticket in advance of the match. Any child without a pre-redeemed ticket will not be permitted access to the match.
The AAMI Community Series matches will take on the following format:
- 4 quarters of 20 mins, plus time on (as per AFL Premiership Season).
- Squad of 30 players; 18 on field, eight interchange and four emergencies. Minimum of four players on the interchange bench during the match at any time.
- No interchange cap.
- Full panel of umpires appointed by the AFL.
- All matches will be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
