New signings across the TPIL Lawyers QAFL and Bond University QAFLW continue to roll in, with several clubs announcing their newest recruits.
Aspley continues to grow their men and women's sides welcoming Taya Parker, a Tasmanian local with Senior experience for Latrobe AFC and Devonport AFC. She’s a previous league Best and Fairest winner as well as Tasmanian Devil Academy member.
Kaitlyn Zelinkski also makes the move to Aspley from Coorparoo bringing her experience from the Brisbane Lions Academy and her tough defence skills.
More additions include Evie Sealy from South Australia’s Limestone Coast Football League and a runner-up in the league’s Best and Fairest as well as Lilli Williams who joins the Hornets from her role as Vice-Captain for the Longford Football Club in Tasmania.
Tonya Botherway, captain of the North Shore Tigers (AFL New Zealand) also joins the Hornets after being in America for a hockey scholarship.
More new Hornets are Jarrah Altschwager, a dynamic small forward from South Australia Country, and Eva Downie from the Essendon VFLW and former captain of the Tasmanian Devils in the Coates Talent League.
For the men, the Hornets are delighted to welcome back Ryan Bastinac who played as Vice-Captain for Aspley during the 2021 VFL season. He will bring his brother Jordan Bastinac into the club alongside him. Jordan was a graduate of the Dandenong Stringrays TAC Cup program and spent time with Frankston in the VFL before joining Montrose and later Pearcedale FNC.
The most recent addition to the Nest in 2026 is Zac Fulford from Pine Rivers and consistently named in the team’s best.
With Broadbeach now entering the Bond University QAFLW, the Cats welcome back their 2024 Joy Johnson Club Champion Alicia Withers to play for their senior side.
Labrador have signed Jay Foon after he spent a year in Cairns earning AFL Cairns Team of the Year honours. He returns to Tigers and the QAFL with his last appearance in the Yellow and Black earning him a spot in the 2024 QAFL Team of the Year.
Maroochydore welcome Zack Shelton to the club having played in the BFNL in previous years, earning himself part of the BFNL Team of the Year in 2021 and 2025 where he Vice-Captained Golden Square.
The Roos also bring in Reef Bourn from Burnie in Tasmania’s North West Football League who Vice-Captained Burnie’s 2023 Premiership side.
They also welcome Lachie O’Dwyer to their senior side after an outstanding Colts career at Aspley.
Joining them is Bailey Murray, 2025 Best and Fairest winner from the Glasshouse Hinterland Lions as well as Will Brohm who has played for Mayne, represented South Queensland, and played in the 2025 Bendigo League with Sandhurst.
Morningside welcome back Wylie Buzza for the 2026 season. Since 2023, Buzza has been a Panthers VFL-aligned player, while playing for the Brisbane Lions, and more recently Southport. He also has experience playing AFL for Geelong and Port Adelaide.
The Vultures have signed Lio Lemana-Pakau who has played over 100 games for Redland-Victoria Point and more recently played his 2025 season at Alexandra Hills.
Noosa continue to be busy recruiting in the off-season. They welcome Tait Winter who has played in Tasmania’s Premier Football Competition and Coby Chugg, an ex-Tasmanian State League player and former North Melbourne Next Generation Academy member. More recently, he was Vice-Captain of the Hinterland Blues and is eager to return to State League footy.
Joining them is Aaron Hawker, a dual club Best and Fairest winner and two-time league medal runner-up in the Geelong Premier League, as well as Josh Werchon from Millicent and Josh Scrivano from Darwin who has experience playing in the Eastern and Mornington Peninsula football leagues.
Palm Beach Currumbin welcome back Tom Hickey, 2024 J.A. Grogan Medallist to the side after he had a year off football.
Sherwood will welcome Noah Milton to the Magpies in 2026 originally playing for Shep United in the GVFL and the Murray Bushrangers in the Talent League before he relocated to Melbourne playing senior football for Maribyrnong in the EDFL competition.
Wilston Grange have been busy recruiting too, adding to their side Josh Butson from the Gold Coast SUNS Academy. He also played for the Cairns Lions and the Centrals-Trinity Beach Bulldogs.
Alongside him, fresh Gorillas entering the club are James Creighton, bringing VFL experience from the Brisbane Lions and GWS Giants, and Fitzroy Greenwool, from the Cairns league who has lived at AFL Cape York House. He also has experience playing with the Gold Coast SUNS NEAFL.
In the QAFLW, Nelly Anu joins the Gorillas from the SUNS Academy and has played for the Cairns City Lions, Palmerston Magpies (NTFL), Cairns U18 Girls, Cairns Indigenous Team winning best on ground, and was named the Cairns Women’s League’s Best and Fairest in 2025.
