The Morningside Panthers will be aiming to win their second flag in three seasons as they face the Ormeau Bulldogs in this Sunday’s Queensland Wheelchair Football League Grand Final at Nissan Arena.
Morningside Panthers secured the minor premiership after a strong home and away season with a 11-1 record.
The Ormeau Bulldogs have quickly established themselves as one of the most consistent teams and will need to be on-song if they are to clinch their maiden flag.
It was only in last week's Preliminary Final 1, that the Panthers put on an attacking display for the ages against the Bulldogs with Michael Dobbie-Bridges slotting 12 majors to advance the Panthers to this year’s decider with a 128-point victory.
Ormeau regrouped and bounced back quickly, with a hard fought 26-point win over Mt Gravatt led by Paul Letters with 8 goals. The Preliminary Final 2 win, setting up an intriguing story line heading into the Queensland Wheelchair Football League Grand Final.
The story written so far in season 2025, is Morningside leading the head-to-head 4-nil this season, which sets up a fascinating next chapter in this evolving storyline.
After another exciting season of the Queensland Wheelchair Football League, it all comes down to this, will the Panthers win their second flag in three years, or will Ormeau claim their maiden title?
