AFL Goldfields stretches from Sunbury in the east, to Avoca & Beaufort in the west, to Rokewood in the south, to Bealiba in the north. With 42 community clubs from across AFL Goldfields. 

With approximately 10,000 participants across all programs, AFL Goldfields is considered a strong Football region. The Ballarat Football Netball League, the Central Highlands Football League & Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League are the 3 leagues that make up AFL Goldfields region.

The AFL Sunraysia region, centred in Mildura, Victoria, hosts the Sunraysia Football Netball League (SFNL) and the Millewa Football Netball League (MFL). 

The SFNL is the major league, offering full player pathways from under-8s to seniors, including female youth competitions whilst the MFL features senior men's and women's teams. Clubs are based in Mildura, across the border in NSW, and in the rural towns of Robinvale and Ouyen.

Peter Hartmann

Peter Hartmann is a Principal at Southern Cross Business Advisers, located in Mildura, Victoria. A CPA and FCPA, Peter specializes in taxation matters and business strategies for small businesses. Beyond his professional commitments, Peter is deeply involved in football volunteering. He serves as Chair of the AFL Sunraysia Region Council, contributing his expertise to the development of the sport in the region. His dedication to community service extends to his role as a Board Member of Princes Court Homes, an aged care and retirement village. Peter’s passion for football and community engagement underscores his commitment to fostering local growth and development.

Fiona Keogh

Fiona Keogh served on the Sunraysia AFL Commission from 2022 to 2024 and is now part of the AFL Sunraysia Region Council. Since returning to Mildura in 2013, she has volunteered on football and cricket committees. She focuses on governance, club communications, and enhancing junior competitions to make football enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown is a seasoned business owner who adeptly manages all facets of his operations, from hands-on tasks to staff management, bookkeeping, agronomy, and animal management. With an extensive background in football spanning 60 years, Chris has excelled as a player, coach, and manager. He has served as President of both his club and league, and spent 13 years on the VCFL board as chairman of the rules committee. His dedication to the sport is recognized through life memberships with his club, league, and the VCFL. Chris's leadership and commitment have left an indelible mark on both his business and football communities.

John Maas

John is a dedicated and experienced football umpire with a distinguished career spanning 56 years. Proven leadership abilities demonstrated through extensive involvement in the Sunraysia Football Umpires Association (SFUA) executive roles and appointment board positions. Notable for umpiring 1350 games and contributing significantly to the development and management of umpiring standards. Recognized as a Life member and Hall of Fame inductee for outstanding service and commitment. 

Paul Matheson

Paul Matheson is an AFL Victoria Sunraysia Regional Council member providing advice to the AFL Victoria Board on local football matters.  Paul has extensive experience in the leadership and management of a local league, leading the Sunraysia Football and Netball League for over 4 years.  Beyond that, he has been actively involved either playing or supporting community football throughout different areas of Victoria over the past 40 years.  Complimenting this volunteering he has a background in Agriculture and served approximately 29 years with Victoria Police, currently involved in the education, governance, and project space.   Having tertiary qualifications in investigation, leadership and management, education, and business he can provide informative advice on various strategic and demographic issues that may arise. 

AFL Western District stretches from Lismore in the east, to Dartmoor in the west, to Timboon in the south, to Great Western in the north. With 40 community clubs from across AFL Western District. 

With approximately 8000 participants across all programs, AFL Western District is considered a heartland Football region. The Hampden Football Netball League, the Warrnambool District Football Netball League, the South West District Football Netball League & the Mininera District Football League are the four leagues that make up AFL Western District region.

AFL Wimmera Mallee encompasses two community leagues, the Wimmera Football Netball League (WFNL) and the Horsham District Football Netball League (HDFNL), offering playing opportunities for both juniors and seniors with a full player pathway from u8s to seniors. 

The WFNL also features female football for youth and senior players. In addition, the region is home to a junior-only competition, the Ararat District Junior Football Association (ADJFA) based in the rural city of Ararat. Covering a vast area from Ararat to the South Australian border at Kaniva and from Hopetoun to Balmoral, AFL Wimmera Mallee serves a number of football-loving rural communities.

Grant Kuchel

Grant Kuchel has a distinguished career in football administration, serving on the HDFNL Board for 10 years, including 7 as chair. A chartered accountant by profession, Grant has also chaired the Wimmera Mallee Advisory Board for 6 years and currently chairs the AFL Wimmera Mallee Region Council. He regularly attends chairs' forums at AFL House, demonstrating his commitment to the sport. Grant is a passionate and dedicated observer of the local game, contributing his expertise and leadership to the growth and development of football in the region.

Gaynor Baker

Gaynor Baker serves as a member of the AFL Wimmera Mallee Regional Council. She brings a robust skillset in governance, rules and regulation compliance, and project and financial management, honed through her involvement with local sporting groups, schools, and her professional experience in Education, Agriculture, and Construction industries. As a dedicated local, Gaynor is deeply invested in local business and passionate about fostering a healthy, thriving community through sports. She is enthusiastic about the region's growth, particularly in expanding opportunities for juniors and females, and is committed to working with leagues to embrace and drive change.

Jeff Both

Jeff Both is one of 3 Councillors on the AFL Wimmera Mallee Regional Council. Jeff has had a long association with the Horsham Football and Netball Club. His involvement with the committee of HFNC eventually saw Jeff become President and after a Club structure change became Chairperson. Jeff has been a member of Tailem Bend Football Club, Jamestown Football Club, Tyntynder Football Club and Horsham Football and Netball Club. Life membership was awarded to Jeff at Tailem Bend Football Club (1978) and Horsham Football and Netball Club (2018). An active role with the Horsham Lions Club has seen Jeff serve as President, Vice President, Minute Secretary and Correspondence secretary.
