AFL Victoria congratulates Healesville's Brylee Anderson who has been selected as one of the 2025 AFL Life Members Education Assistance Award winners.
The awards are presented annually at the AFL Life Members lunch held each September, with recipients receiving $10,000 to assist their education and personal development.
Anderson became the second winner of the Susan Alberti Education Assistance Award after Georja Davies was the inaugural recipient in 2024.
Hailing from Healesville Football Club and a member of the Eastern Ranges, the 17-year-old midfielder was a key member of Victoria Metro’s title-winning team at the 2025 Marsh AFL National Championships – U18 Girls as a bottom-age player.
She has been a standout for the Ranges throughout the 2025 Coates Talent League season, averaging 24 disposals and seven tackles per game to help her team secure a first-place finish on the ladder and a spot in the preliminary final this weekend.
Anderson also featured in the Toyota AFL Indigenous Girls Academy throughout the 2025 season and has been selected to play in the Marsh AFL National Futures Girls match at IKON Park on Sunday, September 14.
She won Victoria Metro’s MVP award at the 2024 Marsh AFL National Development Championships – U16 Girls and was selected in the All Australian Team.
Anderson’s older brother Cody was drafted by Hawthorn in the 2024 Telstra AFL Draft as a product of the club’s Next Generation Academy.
The second recipient was Zemes Pilot, an exciting forward and midfielder from Port Noarlunga who represents South Adelaide, who was announced as the Jack Collins and Alan Schwab Memorial Education Assistance Award winner. Click here to read more the awards.
