The 2025 Herald Sun Shield Division 2 Boys competitions have concluded for another year, with Marcellin College taking out the Intermediate Boys title, and Salesian College Sunbury claiming victory in the Senior Boys.
The Division 2 Intermediate Boys games were played round robin style at Crofts Reserve Altona on Tuesday 26 August, with the top team in each Pool facing off in the Grand Final that afternoon, whilst the Senior Boys featured five schooks that battled it out at Crofts Reserve on Tuesday 9 September, with the top two on the ladder making the Grand Ginal.

Intermediate Boys Grand Final
After finishing the Pool games and Finals matches undefeated, Marcellin took on St Ignatius College in the Intermediate Boys Grand Final.
It was a low scoring affair in tough weather conditions, with Marcellin just getting the win over an inaccurate St Ignatius by three-points.
Marcellin's Oliver Flanagan was named the best on ground impressing. Oliver plays community football for Bulleen Templestowe JFC and represents the Northern Knights in the Coates Talent League.
Final scores: Marcellin College 2.1 (13) def. St Ignatius College 1.4 (10)

Senior Boys Grand Final
The Senior Boys competition saw ladder leaders Salesian College Sunbury take on second-placed Luther College in the Grand Final, with Salesian going undefeated in the round robin, and Luther only dropping one game (against Salesian).
In the end, Salesian College took out the Division 2 Senior Boys title with a 19-point victory over Luther College.
Final scores: Salesian 4.9 (33) def. Luther College 2.2 (14)
Salesian College's Xavier Watson was awarded the best on ground medal after a standout performance. Xavier played community football for the Gisborn Giants.
