The 2025 Herald Sun Shield Division 2 Girls competitions have concluded for another year, with Methodist Ladies' College (MLC) taking out the Intermediate Girls title, and Ballarat claiming victory in the Senior Girls.
The Division 2 Intermediate Girls games were played round robin, Pool style across four days, 27-28 August (Inter Girls) and 3-4 September (Senior Girls). The top two teams from each age category at the end of the Pool games qualified for the Grand Finals, which were held on Friday 12 September at Skinner Reserve, Braybrook.

At the conlusion of the roun-robin day, MLC and Yarra Valley Grammar qualified for the Inter Girls Grand Final day.
In an entertaining contest, MLC came out on top with a 31-point win over Yarra Valley Grammar.
MLC's Captain, Lucia Fusinato was awarded the best on ground for her strong display. Lucia plays community footy for Camberwell JFC.
Final scores: Methodist Ladies' College 9.6 (60) def. Yarra Valley Grammar 4.5 (29)

Senior Girls Grand Final
The Senior Girls competition saw undefeated Ballarat Grammar take on second-placed Luther College in the Grand Final.
In a high-scoring affair, Ballrat Grammar took out the Division 2 Senior Girls title with a 57-point victory over Luther College.
Final scores: Ballarat Grammar 12.11 (83) def. Luther College 3.8 (26)
Ballarat Grammar's Maggie Johnstone was awarded the best on ground medal after a standout performance. Maggie plays community football for South Warrnambool and represents the GWV Rebels in the Coates Talent League.
