The 2025 V/Line Cup concluded last week, with the Geelong Falcons earning the mantle as the carnival's overall winning program for a second consecutive year.

The carnival opened with an historic night game played between the Boys Division One Bendigo Pioneers and Goulburn Murray Bushrangers at Marty Busch Reserve, with the Welcome Breakfast bringing the competition together on day two.

First played in 1949, the 76th edition of the event saw more than 600 players, officials and their families flock to Ballarat from Monday 22 September to Wednesday 24 September.

Ballarat's top sporting venues, including Mars Stadium, City Oval and Sebastopol’s Marty Busch Reserve played host to 21 matches across the carnival, providing a high-quality stage to showcase the football talent of these rising stars.

The V/Line Cup provides a platform for talented young footballers to compete against each other and make a case for selection in Coates Talent League and Victoria Country representative squads in the years to come.

Seven regions competed in three divisions – Boys Division One, Boys Division Two and Girls – with each team playing two matches across the three days.
