AFL NSW/ACT is pleased to announce that Round 2 applications for the NSW Facilities Fund are now open, providing further opportunities for funding facility upgrades across the state.

Following the success of Round 1, which saw 20 community projects receive almost $750,000 in funding, the AFL NSW Facilities Fund will continue to offer grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

These grants aim to boost participation and significantly improve community football facilities.

Applications for Round 2 open on 30 June and will close on 28 July, with successful applicants set to be notified in late August.

Clubs, schools and organisations are encouraged to apply and join the effort in enhancing football experiences and community engagement throughout NSW.

Head of AFL NSW/ACT, Andrew Varasdi, said ‘We were thrilled with the response from the community football network for Round 1, and we’re really excited to be able to offer a second round in 2025 to support the improvement in community facilities across the State’.

‘Creating a welcoming environment for our players, officials and volunteers is such an important part of our aim to grow the game in New South Wales and I can’t wait to see more high-quality projects come to life’, Varasdi said.
